Dear Family and Friends,
It has been quite the year for our family! Thank you all for your continued prayers for us and the pastors studying in Rwanda, as well as for checking in on us regularly. It's been a challenging year in many ways, but the Lord has been so good and faithful. We're thankful for numerous trainings in Rwanda despite some setbacks. Additionally, we are grateful our home in Florida is fixed after a year of rehabbing it from Hurricane Helene when it flooded last September 2024.
Since we have been stateside and delayed going back, there have been over 20 Pastor Trainings, numerous Discipleship courses taught, and 2 graduations (Bihembe and Gatsibo)! We are very thankful to our local partner, Didier, who has taken on more responsibility for the trainings in Rwanda since we've been away. We're thankful that ministry goes on even when we are not physically present. Didier, the GTN trainers, and our local church leaders are an integral part of making this happen. We are also excited and grateful for our friends and colleagues, the Ferguson Family, who train with us, live in Rwanda, and are now a part of GTN.
The church in Rwanda has faced challenges this year with about 9,000 churches closed due to new government regulations. The government has put a lot of new regulations on churches and trainings. These regulations are largely intended to protect people from false teachings. While understandable, it is heartbreaking to see so many believers and communities without a local church. Once the new regulations are met, each church can apply to reopen, but as you can imagine, it's a very long process. Please pray for perseverance for the people and that they would continue to praise Him and share the Gospel in spite of not being able to gather physically. We had to pause our Nyanza training due to the church's closure, but we pray we can resume with this group at a different location in the future. Several new regulations were put in place for our visiting trainers as well, but we thank the Lord that we were able to figure out how to make it work (except for in Nyanza). Despite challenges with
visas, MOUs, letters of invitation, and other new regulations, we were thrilled to have a two week training in October! We have two training groups that we are focusing on currently in Bihembe. There is need for more trainings in different areas, so we are praying through where the Lord would have us train next. We have been invited to at least two new locations!

The Gatsibo group who graduated a few months ago, saw a lot of spiritual growth over the past couple of years. There was a lot of wrestling with what the true Gospel entails. The Lord worked through the trainers and in the hearts and minds of pastors to truly grasp how Jesus died and rose again for us all and we cannot save ourselves by good works. What a difference this will make in their churches! Pray with us as they continue to grow in faith and lead their congregations.
As for our family, we are doing well! As mentioned earlier, our home in Florida is now habitable again. We are thankful to the Lord for always providing a roof over our heads. We've had to move from various rental houses about 7 times in this last year! The kids have done so well and have grown a ton. We have been blessed by such great family, friends, community and church during our stay here in Florida. Stay tuned for what's in store for us in 2026!
